Excellence in teaching and learning: Our responsibilities and yours in ensuring the quality of your learning experience.

The relationship between students and the Campus, particularly in relation to the teaching experience, is mutually dependent. The quality of a campus experience is at least as much the outcome of the effort and initiative that you put into the experience as it is of the teaching and facilities provided. The campus provides opportunities, not simply facilities and services, though we always wish these to be of an appropriate level and high quality.

The Students Support

The Campus Dean of Students coordinates the activities of students and is responsible for the affairs and discipline of students at the University. Other sections overseen by the Dean’s office include sports and recreation, chapels and mosques, students’ guild, and the counseling center.

The Office

The Dean of Students caters to student affairs. Recreation and Games – the Department in liaison with the Sports Tutor and Recreation staff organizes competitions and sports activities for students; and the Spiritual Centers, where one Imam and two Christian Chaplains within the campus provide the Spiritual Services. The Dean of Students also gives oversight to the Students’ Guild, the Student governing body. The elections of the Guild President, and Guild Representative Council (GRC), are organised by the Dean of students’ office and the election committee.

Students’ Guild

The student’s guild is a student leadership organ that was created to link the students’ body to University administration.

The Student leadership consists of the Guild Government, Student leadership in Programmes and Games Union. It is headed by a Guild Prime Minister who is democratically elected by the students in accordance with the existing guidelines. The Guild Prime Minister holds the office for one year term. Guild elections are held every academic year in the Second Semester.

The Dean of students’ office is a liaison between the student’s leadership and the campus Administration and Management. Dean of Students’ office also handles and ensures that all Students Associations are properly registered with the Guild Government after approval by the Principal.

The Counselling and Guidance Centre is here to help you address personal or emotional challenges that may affect you while studying or working at the campus. The Counselling and Guidance Centre works closely with all campus units to enable students realize their academic and personal potential and to assist staff in addressing psychological issues that may affect them in living worthy and productive lives.

We offer a wide range of high quality of teaching and extra-curricular activities.

We are committed to ensuring that students receive a quality education, care, and support so that they feel happy and safe here and can thrive and achieve academically. Our Student Services team is trained to work with young and old people and as part of the enabling team, we have students support these programs.
